 Job Description:  

Gerdau is currently seeking a Scale Operator for its Winnipeg Recycling, Manitoba facility. 

The basic function of this position is the scaling of trucks, control of traffic flow, administrative duties including filing and reconciling of paperwork, 2-way and CB radio communication, peddler cash and cheque payables, and video surveillance. 

 

Responsibilities:

·         Accurately weigh all incoming and outgoing vehicles, scrap suppliers.

·         Make sure all paperwork matches the account, commodity and pricing with every load.

·         Greet customers.

·         Handle cash payments to supervisors and count cash.

·         Accept inquiry calls.

 
 
 Qualifications:  

Qualifications include:
• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have customer service (1 – 3 yrs. experience).
• Must have cash handling experience.
• Good computer skills.
• Candidate must have a professional manner.
