Gerdau is currently seeking a Warehouse Shift Supervisor for its St. Paul facility.
This is a daytime shift starting at 6 AM.

The Warehouse Shift Supervisor is responsible for the direction, supervision, and coordination of the warehouse, accurate inventory and shipping operations related to trucking, rail and export delivery of product (to include timely and accurate shipment to customers and warehouses).
Primary responsibilities include coordination of rail and truck shipments and warehouse inventory control. Inventory control includes the accurate and timely completion of sample counts and other documentation as well as directing finishing personnel with regard to warehouse product storage to improve warehousing efficiencies and decrease damaged/scrapped product. This person must be in contact with Sales, Corporate Scheduling and other Gerdau divisions, commercial carriers, outside customers, railroad and trucking companies/general transportation.
The Warehouse Shift Supervisor works closely with subordinates on a daily basis, including selection and training of subordinates, performance evaluations and the administering of personnel policies, practices and collective bargaining agreement.
With the assistance of Mill Maintenance, maintain and repair forklifts and yard mules used in the finishing and shipping departments.
Other responsibilities include: ordering necessary equipment and supplies; scheduling and coordinating movement of product to other storage areas; working with Mill personnel in the scheduling of production to meet customer requirements; directing shipping/warehouse department on after-hours requirements; and directing both warehouse/shipping departments regarding necessary housekeeping on a daily basis.
Assist Yard and Offline areas when required.
The Warehouse Shift Supervisor must perform the above mentioned duties and responsibilities in accordance with all Federal, State, and Local environmental regulations. Employees must also report any situation which may have a detrimental impact to human health or the environment to their immediate supervisor.
